Volvo Power

We all know that Volvo's powerful T6-equipped models just got an upgrade, thanks to the automaker’s internal tuning house, Polestar and the release of new software.  The performance upgrade will be available for all 2011-2012 S60, XC60, and other models.

Increased will be the turbocharged inline-six engine’s horsepower by 25 horsepower and a boost in the torque up from 325 pound-feet to 355. Polestar is increasing the power by reflashing the engine control unit, and did so without affecting the fuel economy.  According to Volvo, the three models will keep their impressive fuel economy ratings of 26 mpg hwy for the S60 and 22 mpg hwy for the XC60 and XC70.

Volvo owners can now get an engine boost on the T5 and T6 models, including the C30, C70, S40, S60, XC60, and XC70.
