Sacramento New Car Dealers Association Donates $10,000 to Couple in Tragic Accident

Dear Greater Sacramento New Car Dealers Association Members-

On behalf of the Board of Directors I am proud to announce the Greater Sacramento New Car Dealers Association has donated - on behalf of the entire membership - $10,000.00 to the Gemily West/ Harison Long-Randall fund.

23 year old Gemily and her 21 year old boyfriend Harison were walking their four dogs across the street on Garfield Avenue three nights ago when they were struck down by a hit and run vehicle. The vehicle was doing 80 miles per hour with no lights on when it struck the couple and their dogs. The driver, who did not even apply the brakes before hitting the group, continued to speed away after the accident.

Harison stepped in front of Gemily and took the brunt of the impact which severed his leg at the knee. He is in intensive care. Gemily is stable with numerous injuries. All four dogs were killed.

GSNCDA board member Dan Kokotas of Swift Dodge in Davis brought the incident to the attention of the GSNCDA board members who then approved the $10,000.00 funding.

This is another case of your Greater Sacramento New Car Dealer Association dues and membership funding at work to assist members of our community.

Best-
Stacey Castle
Executive Director
