SARTRE Project Moving Toward Success

Have you heard of Volvo’s SARTRE project? SARTRE stands for Safe Road Trains for the Environment. The idea is to create a caravan of cars moving in unison, led by a professional driver in a truck, so that drivers can maintain safe distance and consistent speed for better fuel economy. Because of the technology Volvo has helped to bring to the market, including cameras, blind-spot alarms, and adaptive cruise-control, these road trains can also allow drivers to do things other than, well, driving. Volvo is testing this new concept carefully and has had several successful trials in Spain.

To learn more about the technologies that set Volvo apart, come to Turner Volvo in Sacramento. We have a great selection of new and used Volvos and we can show you all of the safety features that make Volvos so safe and efficient.
